Ron thrives in the environment of a teaching studio. With a group of enthusiastic students around him, he gets his painting message across with authority, but with great informality.

His English sense of humor very soon puts everyone at ease. Throughout the five day course laughter abounds, and all the while his class is absorbing masses of practical painting knowledge.

He teaches the use of his famous hake brush, which enables his students to greatly simplify their watercolor paintings, making them more fresh and direct. He also stresses very strongly the principles of design. Ron's energy and enthusiasm permeate the workshop. When he is not demonstrating in front of the class, he's working closely with each and every student. No one is ever neglected and not a minute is lost.

When at last Friday comes along, students leave reluctantly, but with vastly more confidence in their painting ability, and with an armful of finished paintings they never believed they could have achieved.
